I'm 27, so what.
Wow, I had a great birthday week, well it's not over yet. Saturday night at NOVA. Dinner at Musashi's with friends and family. Ben went out of town yesterday morning, that sucked, but my wonderful girlfriends, and some guys too, came over last night to a very dirty house and made me dinner! Nicci made her famous enchiladas. Jamie made 7 layer dip, but really only had like 3 layers, but SO GOOD! We made some TGIFriday taquito things that were dope, after everyone left, i ate a few with the seven layer dip on them, it was sooo gooood. I had a bit too much to drink and smoke, but that is fine by me. I enjoyed every minute of it. My friends made it very special for me, as always. Even the new ones, that I already adore, made it so much brighter and more memorable. I can't believe I'm in my LATE 20's. Jamie and I looked at each other in fear after we realized we'd been friends for 15 years. 15 YEARS FOLKS! Wow. I have and aunt who shares my birthday or I guess I share hers. She turned the big 5-0. We had drinks at Nova yesterday for happy hour. My CRAZY ass family in Nova. What an experience that was. My aunt has two daughters, one lives here, the other in Alaska. Well, she got the biggest surprise ever when she saw BOTH her daughters. Tears, laughter, more tears. She had NO clue the daughter from Alaska was in Oklahoma to help make her 50th bday the best ever! It was an amazing moment that I'm glad I got to be a part of, everyone was crying at the table. It was awesome. I hope everyones birthdays can be as special as mine was and always is. THANK YOU!!!!!

Ash Wednesday
OKAY! Another year to say NO to bad things for you. This is a time to cleanse your body, mind, and soul. Today is Ash Wednesday, and for that it means the beginning of Lent! 40 days and nights of giving up red meat, and other substances. For me I normally give up soda, really it's only b/c it's the easiest one for me, I know I can do it. Others such as alcohol and smokes, wellllll. (i only smoke when i have a drink, btw) I know it'll be harder to turn my back on it, so I'm less likely to choose that, but I always want to! Lame I know. Honestly, it's only a short amount of time, anyone can do it! I mean that too! Also, during Lent you can give up other bad habits, such as judging people, gossiping, things like that. Even better you can DO good things. Give a little extra in the basket at church, go through your clothes and go to Goodwill, open doors for people at the grocery store! Small things like SMILING!!!!! EVERYONE LOVES TO GET A SMILE. Let someone cut in front of you on the highway stuff like that. So for me, for Lent, I'm giving up soda, of course. Red meat on Fridays, more if I can. Maybe not OVER EAT! HELLO! I mean it is bikini season soon, so that's helping with more than one cause! :) wow. OH, one more! BE LESS LAZY! I'm a sloth, and I need to stop that. Whew. I know I can do it. I know I can. And hopefully even after Lent, I'll continue being less lazy, helping people, and smiling more. (notice i didn't mention drinking, i do LOVE a cold beer or nice bottle of Boones. TEASING!) So what are you giving up or taking up?????

Letting go.

I saw this on a girlfriends blog, I stole it. I stole it b/c I think it's nice to hear that you CAN let things go.

There are people who can walk away from you.

And hear me when I tell you this! When people can walk

away from you: let them walk.

I don't want you to try to talk another person into

staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to

see you, staying attached to you. I mean hang up the phone.

When people can walk away from you let them walk.

Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left.

The bible said that, they came out from us

that it might be made manifest that they were not for

us. For had they been of us, no doubt they would have

continued with us.

People leave you because they are not joined to you.

And if they are not joined to you, you can't make them stay.

Let them go.

And it doesn't mean that they are a bad person it just

means that their part in the story is over. And you've got

to know when people's part in your story is over so that you don't keep

trying to raise the dead.

You've got to know when it's dead.

You've got to know when it's over. Let me tell you

something. I've got the gift of good-bye. It's the tenth spiritual
gift,

I

believe in good-bye. It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm

faithful, and I know whatever God means for me to have He'll give it to

me.

And if it takes too much sweat I don't need it. Stop begging people to

stay.

Let them go!!

If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong

to you and was never intended for your life, then you need to......

LET IT GO!!!

If you are hlding on to past hurts and pains .....

LET IT GO!!!

If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and

see your worth.....

LET IT GO!!!

If someone has angered you .......

LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge......

LET IT GO!!!

If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction......

LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or

talents ..

LET IT GO!!!

If you have a bad attitude.......

LET IT GO!!!

If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better......

LET IT GO!!!

If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to take

you to a new level in Him......

LET IT GO!!!

If you are struggling with the healing of a broken

relationship.......

LET IT GO!!!

If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try

to help themselves......

LET IT GO!!!

If you're feeling depressed and stressed ......

LET IT GO!!!

If there is a particular situation that you are so

used to handling yourself

and God is saying "take your hands off of it,"

then you need to......

LET IT GO!!!

Let the past be the past. Forget the former things.

Salon W
Category: Fashion, Style, Shopping

Wow. What a crazy couple of months it's been! Who knew in such a short period of time we go from our normal life to being co-owners to a SALON! By the way, we have NO experience in this field, and we are diving into this head first with no helmet. Or any other safety features. Goggles would be good. Anyway, things for the most part are really going smooth. Some setbacks include a delay on the signage out front and our stylist chairs, and other knit picky things like building stuff we can't do by ouselves and tile work. I must say I am totally impressed by what Ben and Luke have learned and accomplished on their own. The space is really coming together, today we got the majority of the remaining lights hung thanks to my WONDERFUL brother Kyle, and we can't forget Amber's dad Barry for spending an amazing amount of sweat equity up there as well. We are truly blessed by all the support our familes and friends have given us. I just wished I could be more involved! I want to be more helpful and not just with my thoughts and ideas on where things should go or what fixtures to hang. Now we have to get the place full of fantastic stylist and it's been hard. Well, not too hard but harder than I thought. There are so many small details that we keep discovering too! I never thought about soap dispensers or where to buy towels from! Hopefully soon our nights working there until 10 or 11 will be OVER! All of us are mentally and physically drained and we only keep going and going b/c of the huge differences we make each night/weekend. I can't wait until Febuary 7th, when we can open our doors and have our first clients come in and hopefully be thrilled with our service and wonderful staff. It's going to be GREAT! I can't wait for everyone to stop by and see it! When we get a date for our Open House/ Grand Opening party I'll be sure to let everyone know!

ninja's final day
the ninja put her two weeks notice in, and immediatley the retaliation began, stares and snide remarks persist. the final day came and the ninja came to work. no one offered her lunch, no one said anything to her all day long! Until she heard a HHHIIIEEEEYYYAAAHHHHH!!! and all the sudden the ninja co-workers come from every angle, kickchopping and stabbing! KICKCHOP! KICKCHOP! KICKCHOP! the co workers were in a dog pile in the entrance. a customer came and she had to take care of him, then the phone rang and she had to answer that too. while she was doing her best customer service voice to the old hag on the phone, the supervisor ninja came up from behind to attack! she was ready for this, so she put the call on hold and used the staple remover to remove her supervisors eyeballs! she threw them down the hall, only after stabbing them with paperclips! she resumed her phone call and afterwards made an announcement over the speaker phone, "HIIIIIIYYYYEEEEEEAHHHHH!" then she turned off her computer, turned off the phone, turned off the lights and then left the building forever.

Two weeks notice

Well, I gave my supervisor my two weeks notice today! WOOT! I'm starting my new job the 28th, at The Oklahoman! I'm going to be busy all day long and I can't wait! I've been needing a big change and this is just what I need, new job, I'll get to meet and make new friends. I'll be responsible for a lot more stuff and the best part is I'll be making more mula! That's nice! It will be sad leaving Harry Mortgage, it's been a great company to work for. The hardest part was telling Amber and Luke that I'm quitting, but they totally understand and are happy for me.

Oh, the Gwen Stefani concert was so much fun! The Black Eyed Peas rocked too, lots of break dancers on stage and a tons of crazy funny people to stare at! Fun fun.

CRASH!
Current mood: blah
Hello everybody! It's been a while since I've actually written anything good. As of lately I haven't had anything GOOD to write about, until recently. This Halloween weekend was full of exciting events. Starting with our dogs costume party the Thursday before Halloween. Yes, dogs costume party. We got jipped, spelling anyone???, on the costume contest. Bentley was a skeleton that glows in the dark and Beemer, well, he was the........GREAT WHITE SHARK!!!! (jaw theme starts playing) He had the best costume out of all the dogs, seriously and he didn't even get 2nd or 3rd place. Next year I guess. They played games too and even had doggy treat bags on the way out the door. We got a lot of slack from our friends and family, for dressing our dogs up, but SCREW EM! We don't make fun of you for having a handle bar mustache or a man that lives in a RV in your front yard. Well, we do, but not to their faces. (love you guys!) After our dog party we went across the street to our friends house and carved pumpkins ate pizza and drank a few cold ones. We told a friend to meet us over there, but never told her the exact house, so she sat in our driveway for a while then went home. Sorry! Friday, I took off work! WOOT! Meleia came to town so we hung out, got our nails did that type of thing. Happy hour at Louie's. CHEESFRIES! which were actually a disapointment b/c they had no bacon or chives on them! Later that night we all went to a house party in MWC. Got wasted went home. Saturday night, this is where it gets good. Ben and I are not really wanting to go out b/c we went out the night before, but it's our friends 30th bday party so we must go! Her party was at Pearls, we got there late so we just ordered drinks. Appletinis for me and vodka and sprite for ben. I also ate the leftover shrimp from April's dinner. Ummmm...our friend, whom we picked up needs to "make and appearance" at a keg party at some co-workers house in Edmond. Well, I didn't want to go, so I catch a ride with my girls and we go to Deepfork. At this point I'm already ready to go home. We get our drinks, make a lap and find the perfect "lets see who's here" spot. I post up, remember already ready to go home, and my girls get shitty wasted, shitty. I previously talked to Ben and they were on their way to meet us.I party some more, not wanting to of course, but i'm forced from peer pressure. I call Ben, leave a voicemail. I keep calling ben and it goes straight to voicemail. I call Jeremy who is with him. "WE'RE ON OUR WAY TO FREAKIN JAIL! WE'RE GOING TO JAIL!" "Jeremy, where is my husband?" "IS MARK THERE??? MARK SHOULD BE THERE, GO LOOK FOR HIM." "Jeremy, what happend? What is going on?" "WE ARE FREAKING GOING TO JAIL!!!" "Jeremy hand the phone to Ben." I hear the phone being shuffled around, i hear them talking in the background, I hear ben put the phone to his ear and pause. "i crashed the car." Well instantly I'm thankful he's okay enough to talk to me. He explains, in very few details, very vaguely what happend. Something to do with hitting a curb, going too fast and that they are waiting for a wrecker. well, the night comes to an end, the girls drive me home. Ben is home, already changed into jeans and a tee and shoes. Wasted, he wants me to take him to Taco Bell. He passes out on the way there, barely gets out of the car to go inside and passes out in bed. I eat my taco bell and go to bed in our guest bedroom. the next morning we wake up, it's cold, grey and going to rain. We drive to the car, by the Habana and it's all crooked in the street, the butt of the car is in the street, the front is by the curb. We roll up and the window is down on the driver side, keys in the ignition, and not in park. We trash bag the window w/ electrical tape and leave it for Monday morning so the car shop can get it in to start working on it. Since ben left the keys in the car, on the ON position, we couldnt roll up the window hence the ghettoness of the trash bag and tape. Also, b/c he left his keys there, he broke into our home that night to get inside. I never really got the whole story until i kept asking and asking. The road they were on, it was a detour road, under construction and i'll never know the whole story b/c Ben was too wasted to remember. So, Jeremy, Mark, any info would be nice. OH, one last thing. The inside of our car is all red and sticky from your bitch drink Cosmopolitan. Bitches. Even though our car was royally fucked and it cost us over 1600 bucks to fix it, we're poor now by the way so any free food we'll take you up, even though that happend I'm glad no one was hurt. No one went to jail. I'm glad no one else was involved. It's only a car, but the people inside, you can't always fix them. Today is thursday, meleia is back in Manhattan, our car is back in our driveway and life goes on. For ben it's going on b/c i let it. I almost kickchopped his drunk head off saturday night.
