UCO

So we all know that I'm a lil bit slow. I took off work Friday to enroll at UCO. I got up there, sat down said "I need to apply and enroll." The girl across the counter said, "You must be accepted first to enroll." Ben and I sat there, and didn't say a word. I thought they would just sit down and admit me and then enroll me. I never thought for a minute that i would have to be accepted into UCO. I handed over my transcripts and my application and my application fee and walked out. How am i going to make it through college at this rate?

never again

I went to another family reunion this past Sunday. My 3rd this summer. It was held in Cherokee 3 hours away. I went b/c my mom asked and I would have felt bad for not going, especially since my two brothers and their families DID NOT attend. Losers. Anyway, first thing they were supposed to pick me up at 7:30 am and did not arrive til 8:30. I did get to sleep on the way there so it was not too bad. We go to my uncle Dicks house, he is about 89 and lives alone on a farm. (btw, we had about 6 cars full of my moms family going to this shindig) We all pull up to my uncle's house, my great uncle, we all go into his house and sit down and start talking to him. He said, "I guess you guys know my brother Virgil?" which makes me sad b/c Virgil is my moms dad and of course we know him, but Uncle Dick has NO clue who we are. :( Then we head to Cherokee and are the first people to arrive at the family reunion. This is no ordinary family reunion, and i say that b/c IT'S NOT OUR FAMILY!!!! Everyone is walking in and staring at us, i felt like such an invader. This is how distant of family we are. My Great Grandmother was the Great Aunt to the brothers and sisters having the reunion.And the brothers and sisters were in their 80's. GIVE ME A BREAK! It was so weird! I had cousins FLY in from Arizona b/c they thought is was OUR family reunion. Talk about being pissed off. One thing that was hilarious, we were all starving so when they started eatting we were all in line filling our plates to the brim and one lady said, "This dish is the reunion favorite, your not family if you don't like this." My aunt and I sat down, took one bite of the "reunion favorite" and said "We must not be family." It was sick. We took our family picture and left. I woke up in Perry and got a banana shake from Braums and some french fries. I will never do that again, not even for a guilt trip.

what makes you, you?
Current mood: crazy

there are so many influences today, what makes you, you? what makes you different from everybody else? you are exposed to the same t.v., music, political issues as everyone else. unless you seek out the different and unusual then what makes you special? how do you even find the underground bands and the rare finds in designers and the back alley hang outs? once you get there are you still unique when you see a crowd of 20 something's or 30 something's that found it before you? to be really unique to really stand out to be different, you can't be like anyone else! you would have to be an outcast. or do you? everyone right now who loves indie rock, or emo are you pissed b/c it's so mainstream now? are you pissed when the one thing that was yours is starting a trend and everyone else is doing it? or does it flatter you? what are you gonna do? have your personalized double helix tattooed on you? your very own DNA strand made into t-shirts? what makes me, me? I'm not sure yet. i don't know why i'm special, but i know i am. i know that my friends love me. i know that my family supports me. my husband adores me. two dogs that run to the door to say hello to me. and for me that's enough. (except for i do want a vespa.)

i'm editing my friends

I'm tired of having "friends" on here who really aren't my friends. I like to say hello and actually see how people are doing, and i like getting responses back. Oh, and another thing, if you post something on the bulletin board, don't let it sit up there FOREVER! So fucking annoying. I've just deleted a shitload of people. They all annoyed me.

longest day ever
Current mood: bored
it's friday before a holiday and i'm waiting and waiting for the whistle to blow on the work day. these are always the worst days. when people either don't come to work or they leave extra early. plus my IM girl was NOT online yesterday or today! so i'm extra bored. At least she is home for the weekend and i get to see her in person and not via the internet. i like it when people comment too, random, but i just came to me. also, i love love LOVE having readers. it's so weird and exciting. MUWAH!
